The SADP Board sets the strategic direction of SADP, ensures effective implementation of its strategies and is responsible for the due diligence of grant making decisions and procedures. It monitors the open and transparent operations of SADP as a public charity under US law. The Board is made up of highly experienced people from a broad range of professional backgrounds all of whom have an in-depth knowledge of social issues in Cambodia and Southeast Asia.
Mr. Daniel King (Chair)
Daniel is Deputy Regional Program Director at the European Climate Foundation. He was previously EarthRights International’s Mekong-Myanmar Programs Director until October 2017. From 2011-2014 he was ERI’s Mekong Legal Director, coordinating programs including the Mekong Legal Advocacy Institute and Mekong Legal Network. From 2007-2009, Daniel worked as a legal advisor to the Community Legal Education Centre and the Vishnu Law Group, working with Cambodian lawyers representing urban, rural and indigenous communities fighting for their land rights. He has experience with national, regional and international legal advocacy and the need for community lead campaigning. Daniel has also worked as an environmental lawyer in Sydney, Australia for Henry Davis York commercial lawyers and the Environmental Defenders’ Office. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Political Economy and Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University along with a Masters of Public and International Law at Melbourne University. He was admitted to legal practice in 2004 in Australia.
Ms. Donna Wilson
Donna Wilson is an independent organisational development consultant working in the International development field with a range of Australian and international NGOs. Donna previously worked as an Organisational Development Adviser with SADP for 2.5 years. In this role she supported SADP’s transition to becoming a fully independent grant maker with strong Cambodian leadership, with a clear strategic framework, strong collective leadership, capable and committed staff, and robust processes for reflecting on and improving individual and organizational performance. She also supported several local NGO partners with their strategic planning and governance strengthening initiatives. Donna has over 25 years’ experience working in strategic and practical ‘hands-on’ organisational change and development, project management, and capacity building roles. She has worked with a wide range of not-for-profit, public, and private sector organisations in Australia, North America, Japan, and Cambodia. Donna holds a Masters Social Sciences (International Development) with Distinction from RMIT, and a Bachelor of Arts, University of Canberra.
Dr. Neal Keating (Secretary)
Dr. Neal Keating is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the State University of New York College at Brockport, in the United States. He has collaborated with Indigenous activists, artists, communities, associations, and organizations in Cambodia and North America, and consulted with non-governmental organizations and United Nations agencies. He holds a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from SUNY Albany, and specializes in critical ethnographic theory and methodologies. He has authored a number of publications addressing contemporary social and environmental issues of Indigenous Peoples, grounded in field-based research with rural communities in Cambodia. Dr. Keating began collaborative work with Cambodian organizations and activists in 2010.
Mr. Peter Swift
Mr. Peter Swift established SADP in 1992 and served as Executive Director until December 2012.
Mr. Swift lived in Cambodia for fourteen years. During that time, in addition to working for SADP, he worked as a consultant for a variety of Cambodian and international NGOs and donor projects. These consultancies related to natural resources management, indigenous peoples, organizational development, and related areas. He recently completed a PhD in the Department of Geography at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ms. Bunn Rachana
Rachana is an independent human rights advocate and a proud Cambodian third-wave feminist.
Rachana has almost a decade of professional experience working with local and international NGOs, UN agencies, and local communities in the field of human rights with a focus on women’s rights, tenure rights, and rural development.
She has designed and conducted a number of offline and online advocacy campaigns on human rights inside and outside of Cambodia. She has designed and overseen multi-million dollar development projects, conducted policy reviews and high-level advocacy.
She holds undergraduate degrees in Education and Law and a Master’s in International Development.
